This tin was used to store soda crackers at the mill during the 1940s in case workers had to do unscheduled overtime and needed a snack. It was kept under a work bench to keep the crackers safe and dry.
The tin is decorated with a series of paintings called the “Cries of London” by Francis Wheatley.
