Wine press and strainer, made by Elio Cossarin and used locally by many Italian families in Powell River over the years to press grapes for wine.

Guiseppe Gagliardi known also as Little Joe, came from Saracena, Cosenza, Italy to Canada around 1914. He took a pre-emption up Powell Lake and was a farmer and kept sheep and goats. He sold his produce to residents of Powell River. He is pictured here in his orchard. (ID 2013.19.4)
