  • Mechanical History: Telegrams and Morse Code

    In this program we’ll look at historic telegraph line routes, learn how telegrams work and the advent of Morse code. To get a more hands-on experience with this old technology we’ll build telegraph key simulators and make a Morse code exercise book.

    We’ll delve into how radios work, historical radio stations in Powell River, and popular radio shows throughout the decades. All participants will be able to build a simple radio to take home with you. Ages: 8-15
